Strong Alive Women, Video Recommendations

Below are listed a few older films and one documentary which honor Strong Alive Women, the struggles they face, and how their struggles reveal problems we all continue to face in the modern times.

Weblinks to the Amazon website are provided, but you can probably get them elsewhere.

1. I Remember Mama – Irene Dunne. This is an honoraria for loving mothers at a time before it was common for women to work outside the home. A loving marriage but before the era of contraception, or women’s full equality, it shows a very real-world situation in the USA where women nevertheless were self-determined in action and goals. It is a good look at what your grandmothers had to struggle with, but not in any sense of "women’s liberation". The original movie is from 1948, about a Norwegian immigrant family living in San Francisco during the Great Depression, and how they struggle to survive and keep a loving family together. Also notable, the stiff relatives, a few of whom had golden hearts, which most of us can identify in our own family trees. Mama won many awards and triggered a popular TV series in the 1950s. It is about the Mama we might have had, if lucky, or that we wanted, if not, and a lesson why mother-love is indispensable. Keep a box of tissues handy.

2. Sister Kenny (Amor Sublime) – Rosalind Russell
This one is a fascinating look at an innovative treatment for polio prior to the development of the various polio vaccines. Developed by an Australian nurse Elizabeth Kenny, while serving the health-care needs of remote farm families in the outback, where there were few MDs to assist or oppose innovation. Following her own intuitive methods, Sister Kenny helped many severely debilitated children struck with polio to regain full motion and functioning. She developed a form of therapy involving hot water compresses and motional therapy, to "re-educate" the muscles by inducing natural motions. Her success brought the attention of the medical establishment, which turned against her with a fury, for daring to oppose their system of Medieval metal braces and immobilization techniques, and for her abilities to save children whom they could not. The MDs also resented her for being a woman. Kenny’s methods have parallels to Reich’s concepts of the importance of fluid motion versus stiff immobility in biopathic disease, and those who have read Reich should note the similarities right off. The DVD for this excellent film as linked above is Region 2, for Europe, so those in North America will need a multi-region DVD player, or you can "hack" your player to turn on the multi-region capabilities – most of them have this hidden feature. Look it up on internet by your DVD player model number and the words "hack region code". Most every DVD player can be easily converted to region-free or multi-region without too much difficulty. There is a VHS version also:
Also several YouTube documentaries on the original Kenny treatments, here:

A search of her name, Sister Kenny, will bring up other YouTubes, but get the DVD or VHS for a good night’s entertainment and inspiration.

3. We The Living – Alida Valli An Ayn Rand masterpiece formulated from her own experiences in early Soviet Russia, the story traces the struggle of the young and independent-minded Kira to find love and professional advancement in an increasingly deadly Communist system of oppression and thought control. It also shows how she influences the men in her life, who suffer from similar oppression. A good look at what Western democracies in Europe or America seem headed towards, as the leftist PC "thought police" of Big Government increasingly gain legal powers over what can be said, or written, or read, or believed, or thought, or done.

4. Honor Diaries – various brave women This is a documentary on the problem of female sexual slavery across the Islamic world, and the brutal methods used by the men in those totalitarian societies to humble women down into subservience. It elucidates the problem of "family honor" and the murder of disobedient women and girls who try to break free of the chains thrust upon them by Islamic societies where they are treated as little more than legalized concubines or baby-making sex-slaves. The narration is given by nine courageous women’s rights advocates from these same Muslim nations, who escaped to the non-Muslim world – which is to say, the non-Saharasian world. You may weep on this one also, but not for the same reasons as with the Mama film. This is exactly the kind of documentary film which the leftist Islam-apologizers don’t want you to see, and in fact leftist and Muslim thugs have today been using threats or mob actions to prevent showings of this new documentary at university campuses across the USA. The above weblink at Amazon is only for direct video download, but you can purchase the DVD from the home webpage of the producers:

Description of In Defense of Wilhelm Reich:

Dr. Wilhelm Reich is the man whom nearly everyone loves to hate. No other figure in 20th Century science and medicine could be named who has been so badly maligned in popular media, scientific and medical circles, nor so shabbily mistreated by power-drunk federal agencies and arrogant judges.
Publicly denounced and slandered in both Europe and America by Nazis, Communists and psychoanalysts, placed on both Hitler’s and Stalin’s death lists but narrowly escaping to the USA, subjected to new public slanders and attacks by American journalists and psychiatrists who deliberately lied and provoked an “investigation” by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), imprisoned by American courts which ignored his legal writs and pleas about prosecutorial and FDA fraud, denied appeals all the way up to the US Supreme Court, which rubber-stamped the FDA’s demands for the banning and burning of his scientific books and research journals, and finally dying alone in prison – who was this man, Wilhelm Reich, and why today, more than 50 years after his death, does he continue to stir up such emotional antipathy? It is a literal 80-Years’ War of continuing misrepresentation, slander and defamation.
Who were and are Reich’s attackers? And what stands behind their obsession to utterly rid the world of him, and of his work? What are the facts regarding Reich’s social-sexual theories and his experimental work on the orgone energy, or life-energy? Author and Natural Scientist James DeMeo takes on the book-burners, exposing with clarity and documentation their many slanderous fabrications, half-truths and lies of omission. In so doing, he also summarizes the lesser-known facts about Reich’s important clinical and life-energetic experimental findings, now verified by scientists and physicians worldwide, and holding great promise for the future.

Farhat-Holzman: “When They Love Their Children…”

April 4, 2014

“When They Love Their Children.”
Laina Farhat-Holzman
April 5, 2014

Many years ago, Golda Meir, then President of Israel, was asked when there would be peace with the Arab world. She said: “We will have peace when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us.” We need to look at that astute observation again today because she was right.

A UN observer has released a devastating report on Syria, in which both the government forces and the Islamist insurgents are imprisoning, torturing, raping, and killing children to make a point to their oppositions. Both sides appear to be equally horrible. This demonstrates the disinterest in human rights (and the disdain for children) in today’s Syrian society. Sad to say, this is not an anomaly created by war. It is a global horror shared by more than just Syrian culture.

o Syria. When the Syrian insurgency began, the government attempted to make a point that they were not going to be rolled over. They kidnapped a dissident’s child, tortured him, and sent his body parts back to the family. When things like this happen today, news of it spreads via modern communications around the world. It so horrified the developed world that there was a movement to take sides with the dissidents and there were cries from both French and American political figures to go after the Syrian government with military force. Unfortunately, the dissidents have shown themselves to be equally horrible, with the additional threat that should they win, Syria would no longer even pretend to be a modern state. It would be a medieval Muslim state.

o Gaza. The Islamist Jihad terror group has set up a summer camp in Rafah for teens: not to play sports but to join war games organized by Islamic Jihad. The boys are taught how to strip down an AK-47 assault rifle, crawl through tunnels and run across burning tires amid the sound of explosions. The children, sad to say, are recruited from the UN’s Palestinian refugee agency, UNRWA, the longest and only refugee facility in the world designed for permanence.

Hamas has opened other summer camps hosting 100,000 students, boys and girls from 10 to 21, also doing military training. An alarmed Gaza psychologist (anonymous) said that “This presents a danger to their lives and contravenes international laws for the protection of children.” Indeed it does, but when children are encouraged to become suicide bombers, one wonders how much such people love their children at all.

o Child Warriors. It is difficult to see how the many militants roiling Africa love their children either. It has been a practice (dating from the civil wars in The Ivory Coast and Liberia) to use boy children as drugged-up warriors and girl children as sexual and manual slaves. The conflicts in the Central African Republic has followed suit, indifferent to global outrage. This practice has become ubiquitous all over the lesser-developed parts of Africa.

o Haiti. It has long been known how too many Haitians, both the desperately poor and the well to do, regard children as things, not people. The poor rent out their young boys and girls for sexual exploitation by sex tourists, as beggars, and as house slaves (rest avec).

o Thailand. Sex tourism has also reared its ugly head in Thailand too, and perhaps because the Thais love their own children, they recruit sex slaves from among their poorer neighboring countries. India is a source for such child (and particularly female) victims.

o Egypt. Impoverished families have long sold their little girls (and boys) to well-healed Saudi sex tourists. In addition, one must note that even among the better off Egyptians (and others across North Africa), they do not love their daughters enough to stop the traditional mutilation of their genitals. Social pressure is much more important than love of one’s children.

o Modern World. The concern for children is a product of our western modern world. We only need to look back over a few centuries to remember that the children of the poor were economic assets, not household treasures. Today’s horrors are remnants of a terrible past and must be condemned.

LED Bulbs a Rotten Alternative to Incandescents

April 2, 2014

LED Bulbs Are a Rotten Alternative to Incandescents or Halogen Light Bulbs

In my Orgone Accumulator Handbook, I previously mentioned LED bulbs as a good alternative to incandescent or halogen light bulbs. Unfortunately, I must withdraw that endorsement, as further investigation has changed my mind. In fact LED bulbs give off considerable radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic radiation, at levels equal to a cell phone, equal also to the Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs) or other long-tube fluorescent bulbs. This was not always the case. The very early LED bulbs I had here, for analysis, did not produce RF radiation in any significant quantities. Today, nearly all of them do.

What follows is a revised statement which will soon be changed in the English-language Handbook, with a corresponding change to be made in editions translated into other languages.

James DeMeo, PhD

The following statement should replace Pages 100-101 of the 2010 Revised Edition of the Orgone Accumulator Handbook:

E) Lighting: Regarding lighting, all kinds of fluorescent lighting, including both the long-tube variety and the small curly compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs or their LED cousins which are screwed into ordinary lamp sockets, should never be used near or in the same room as an orgone accumulator. Both CFL and LED bulbs especially give off significant radio frequencies (RF), in addition to 60-cycle powerline electronic disturbances. Most people spontaneously don’t like the feeling or the light from these bulbs, without even being told. This warning also is valid for the "full spectrum" varieties of fluorescent tubes and CFL and LED bulbs, which in fact do not mirror the sun’s natural frequencies. At the Orgone Biophysical Research Lab, I have made spectrographic readings of both the Sun’s natural spectra and many different types of light-bulbs. All kinds of fluorescent lights, including the full-spectrum kinds of CFLs and LEDs, yield a very "spiky" and incomplete spectra by comparison (see pages 102-103). Fluorescent lights additionally have an agitating electromagnetic ballast with high-voltage cathodes that excite and disturb the orgone energy continuum.

The best possible type of lighting from both a bioenergetic and full-spectrum consideration, is the simple and economical clear-glass incandescent or halogen bulb. The unfrosted variety where you can see the filament through the clear glass is best. These bulbs closely duplicate the natural solar spectrum, and do not create oranur. Any waste-heat produced will merely warm your home, which is not a problem in cooler climates.

Energy-efficiency claims regarding CFL and LED bulbs also are considerably hyped, as it takes a lot of energy to produce them by comparison to a simple incandescent or halogen bulb, and most CFL and LED bulbs will burn out much quicker than advertised when subjected to normal on-off usage. You will also need several of them to equal the light intensity of an incandescent. Be skeptical of government and environmentalist claims on these issues.

Furthermore, the CFL bulbs contain toxic mercury, thus complicating disposal and presenting an environmental hazard. Also, some of the stronger CFL or LED bulbs now carry an RF emission warning on the packaging, which is a good indicator not to buy them. The non-continuous spiked color spectra of fluorescent tubes, CFL and LED bulbs often looks ghostly, or irritates the eyes, even if they fool you into thinking they might be similar to natural sunlight. "Old fashioned" incandescent or halogen bulbs remain the best lighting choice overall. In any case, Big Brother Government should not be dictating what kind of light bulbs you can or cannot use.

Technical Addendum:

Until recently, LED lighting appeared to develop into a much more life-friendly alternative to CFL. While today’s LEDs are capable of long life and delivering high light output levels with very little power consumption, the bulbs need to be paired with a power regulation circuit to provide constant current sourcing to operate in our homes and offices, and that’s where the problem comes in. In order to maintain the highest LED efficiency and longevity possible, these power regulation circuits operate at increasingly higher oscillating frequencies, with the result that both large and small LED lights on the market are today emitting microwave/radio frequencies in addition to an ever growing electromagnetic field. This is in addition to the problem of incomplete light spectra which does not duplicate the sun’s spectra, but rather emits specific "spiked" frequencies which, when combined together, trick the eye into thinking it is seeing "white".

important article:

For a selection of light-bulb spectra compared to natural sunlight, see the OBRL Newsletter #20, February 2009, p.13-15:
If you want an excellent meter for measuring RF frequencies, to check out these issues yourself, see our Trifield 100XE or the EM2 Broadband RF meters. The Trifield is excellent for powerline frequencies, while the EM2 is best for radio frequencies as from these different toxic light bulbs, as well as cell towers and wifi. There are several new YouTube demos posted up on the appropriate page.
