The California Drought and Wildfires

November 9, 2018

The California Drought and Wildfires

I am horrified by the situation of fires burning all over in California. And yet, being located in Oregon, without the ability to launch a major cloudbusting project south into the fire zones, there is little I can do about the situation. My network of CORE associates also lives far from California, and we lost our cloudbusting partner station in San Diego more than a year ago. I tried many times since the 1980s to set up a kind of “cloudbusting fire department” for such emergency work, but could never gain sufficient financial support to make it happen.

All of this devastation now on-going for years, was 100% preventable, and once started, could have been confined by appropriate cloudbusting methods which I developed against such coastal and inland drylands wildfires many years ago. Many solicitations for support were given to different California and other Southwestern regional government agencies, but not once was any kind of interest shown – except when the Santa Barbara newspaper slandered my efforts. If there was an honest media left somewhere to report on such things, where people burned out would learn about a method of fire-fighting that would be both preventative and remedial, but which had been so systematically suppressed, censored and ridiculed, it would create a national scandal.

In frustration, I wrote the following on my Facebook page, and felt to share it more widely. Some documentary weblinks are also provided below.

Camp Fire devastates Paradise near Chico – businesses, church, numerous homes burn

People in California should know, over DECADES when I lived on the West Coast, I tried to gain the interest of California authorities to sponsor my cloudbusting work to stimulate a moister situation that would oppose such massive fires, and to fill large reservoirs as with Lake Mead. The response to my efforts, if I could summarize, was either total silence, or spit in the eye. I learned that the California bureaucracy loves drought, and hates natural rain. During drought, the various drought-related bureaucracies get enormous sums for their activities, which basically do nothing to change the situation for the better. Their leaders get interviewed repeatedly on the news media, and become big shots. Farmers are happy for a time, even with crops wilting in the fields, as they can collect insurance while sitting back and doing nothing. Water managers and reservoir-pipeline owners get a higher price for an acre-foot of water. Meteorologists get more air time, and also become bigger-shots. Media hacks have something more to report, with serious tones, as homes burn by the dozens or hundreds. When natural rain falls, the budgets for different water-resource agencies are cut, and their bureaucrats become unknowns. Water prices drop and restored farm-crops get a higher price than before the drought. The head of one of California’s top drought agencies gets a salary of $400,000 per year, which is as much as I once proposed to several bureaucracies for a multi-year project with several cloudbusting stations and workers. Later I dropped the price to half that, then a quarter. Silence continued. At present our resources can’t even support an emergency mission to anyplace else, as my old 1993 Astrovan and 1983 Toyota pickup are no longer reliable to tow the trailers. For a comparison, the average California farm cooperative may spend a half-million on purchase of one large agricultural tractor. One home burned in expensive California towns may cost as much.

At some point I will write up such experiences in a book, along with how my cloudbusting team in 1991-92 ended a 12-year drought in Israel, filling the Sea of Galilee to overflowing. An even larger effort, led by me with an international team of professionals, did the same in a five-year project in the SE corner of the Sahara Desert, starting in 1994, ending a 30-year drought and restoring good rains yearly across a large region of Ethiopia, Sudan and Eritrea. That effort brought so much rain that it filled the Nile River tributaries, filled Lake Nasser behind the Aswan Dam to overflowing for the first time in its history, with five gigantic new overflow lakes out in the open Sahara, the Toshka Lakes. Nothing like it happened in written history, not since the pre-Saharasian period. But still, the meteorologists and EP functionaries in the UN Environmental Program, US State Department and overseas officials in the benefiting nations turned their backs. Emotionally it was like they all suddenly hated natural rains!

Over subsequent years, the Toshka lakes evaporated away, but their remnants can still be seen on satellite images. I wrote scholarly papers on all those operations, and others, published them in both private and mainstream science journals. The response was mostly… crickets. Of course it was nearly unbelievable for those who are unfamiliar with Reich’s discoveries. Reich was murdered for his findings, and over decades plague characters both outside and a few within orgonomy have tried to do the same to me, for making serious study and applications of those discoveries. I am today basically erased from mention within “official orgonomy” whose organizations have become therapy-training institutes, lacking in scientific expertise with few exceptions. Mainstream science has been worse in this regard, and such as Wikipedia have totally banned mention of my work, even in small citation. New findings in the sciences have an even more difficult time than in the 1970s, when I produced the first-ever high-level university studies validating Reich’s science.

Today, I no longer believe we can have a large breakthrough of this work into the public eye, at least not without it being slandered and mocked by EP media, which by itself works a serious damage to extinguish germinal efforts. Every film about Reich, without exception, makes short mention of Reich’s biophysics, and most distort and question his scientific legitimacy, or twist it politically. Authentic open criticism is avoided and forbidden, being substituted with angry attack, hate and slander. As the tragedy deepens, old friends go haywire, turn EP and attack from the back, unexpectedly. Irrationally spreads, making difficult work even more difficult. Turbulent times. We work for the Children of the Future. The modern tragedy continues, and deepens.

James DeMeo Podcast Interview on Saharasia, this Sunday Night

October 6, 2018

Podcast Interview with James DeMeo on Saharasia, this Sunday Night

Tomorrow, October 7th, Sunday at 9 PM to midnight, Pacific Time, Dr. James DeMeo will be hosted for an interview with Richard Hoagland, on his Saharasia discovery. The weblink for tuning in to the podcast, or getting it later on, is
https://www.theothersideofmidnight.com/20181007_demeo/

Dr. DeMeo’s controversial research findings, requiring 7 years of investigation and field work on two continents, uncovered an early peaceful period in human pre-history, prior to c.4000-3500 BC. His findings show this peaceful condition ended with the onset of a major shift in climate at that same period in the 4th millennium, from wet to hyperarid conditions across what is today identified as the Saharasian Desert Belt – stretching across North Africa, the Middle East, and into Central Asia. This enormous desert, stretching more than half-way around the Earth, was once well-watered, with massive rivers and giant lakes, thick with wildlife, large and small. It also was the home to early hunter-gatherer and pastoral societies. That massive desert region is still with us today, and its shift from wet to dry was the largest climate change epoch to occur since the end of the last major Ice Age. This event of major desert-spreading fractured emerging human societies, leading to famine, starvation, abandonment of early settlements, and mass migrations, all of which are documented in Dr. DeMeo’s work. Out of this early disaster and chaos came the origins of organized and persisting, institutionalized social violence and warfare.

The Saharasian discovery also included the largest-ever global cross-cultural survey of ethnographic/anthropological data on human sexual and family life, the status of women, marriage customs, slavery, castes, organized religion and military structures, with the first global geographic maps of those data. The finding confirmed how serious infant and childhood trauma, with attending serious sexual repression, leads to social violence and war. And, the most violent cultures identified by relatively modern anthropology are still found within this same Saharasian Desert region.

Saharasia was the cradle out of which human violence firstly emerged in any large measure, which spread outwards over the millennia in mass-migrations and conquest invasions, to destroy peaceful and egalitarian societies around the world. Pre-Columbian ocean voyages figure into the transmission of violence from the Old World across the oceans and into the Americas. There is more, but you’ll have to read the explosive book on this important scientific discovery, and listen to the podcast. Dr. DeMeo’s findings were produced in the 1980s when he served as professor in the universities. It was subjected to rigorous peer-review, with a quadruple-blind analytical procedure, and published in scientific journals. However, his work also suffered an academic "black-out" due to its controversial and "politically incorrect" nature.

More information on Saharasia is found here:

SPECIAL SALE ON SAHARASIA, THROUGH THE END OF OCTOBER

September 22, 2018

SPECIAL SALE ON SAHARASIA,
THROUGH THE END OF OCTOBER.

We are having another sale for new copies of my book "Saharasia" through the end of October, for $12.95 plus shipping. The regular price is between $34 to $39 retail, so this is a great savings, at a lower price than can be found elsewhere, and close to our own costs.

To purchase, go to our on-line bookstore, and look for the Saharasia link on the left-side column:
http://www.naturalenergyworks.net
Domestic USA orders will have the shipping charge automatically calculated. International orders must firstly order and pay for the book, after which the shipping charges will be computed and sent to you with instructions for a separate payment.

For those who do not know, the book Saharasia summarizes a 7-year scientific study on human behavior, sexuality and family life, with correlated factors of social violence. It was and still is the largest global cross-cultural study on such issues that has ever been undertaken, with the first geographical mapping of ethnographic/anthropological data. It was peer-reviewed by numerous scholars for accuracy before publication, and is based on Wilhelm Reich’s sex-economic theory of human behavior. As such, it was a powerful vindication of Reich’s clinical findings on genitality, revealing its strong predictive capacities for identifying violent versus peaceful cultures.

Unfortunately, after an initial period of enthusiastic acceptance, this work was blockaded and censored from open discussion in the major geographical, anthropological and psychological journals, though several peer-reviewed articles later did appear. Today, the subject is erased from existence by Google and their pawns at Wikipedia. The Western academic world generally thereafter fell under the sway of "political correctness", and the illusion of "value free social science", where every culture on the planet was deemed to be "equally good", in spite of obvious evidence of psychopathic totalitarian violence and mass murdering in some, while peaceful egalitarian characteristics existed in others. Saharasia was produced in 1986, well before the onset of modern Islamic expansionism and conquest, and for which the events of 9-11-2001 stand as a general Islamic Declaration of War. Saharasia therefore hardly mentions Islamic culture, and yet as shown in the cross-cultural geographical maps, the regions of highest world violence, in family and social structure as well as in war-making, are clearly identified across the Islamic world. This large region of high violence is also characterized by the most hyperarid and extreme desert environment on the planet.

In addition to the cross-cultural review, there is an ambitious global historical and geographical-climatological review from ancient times up unto around 1900 AD. This part of the study was most eye-opening, as it demonstrates the existence of an early period of peaceful human conditions, and how the large Saharasian Desert Belt – stretching across North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia – was once a well-watered grassland-forested biome, thick with every kind of wildlife, and running with large rivers and gigantic lakes. All that changed, including human character structure and social violence, when Saharasia began to dry out and convert into harsh desert at around 4000-3500 BC. Saharasia is thereby additionally a profound discovery on the ancient origins of human emotional armoring, violence and warfare in an epoch of massive desert formation. Social violence and war are clearly shown to predominate after this relatively late climate-change event in human pre-history, being very rare or non-existent before it. Armoring, violence and warfare are thereby shown to be unnatural conditions for the human species.

Saharasia thereby provides a strong bridge of understanding between the clinical and behavioral work of Reich into archaeology, clmate-change studies, history, anthropology and psychology. Because the objective and systematically-developed material in Saharasia has challenged nearly every other theory of human behavior, and much else, it has garnered as much hatred and opposition as appreciation and support. I reference it repeatedly in my social media but the cost of the book has often been prohibitive for most people. So I am happy to make it available once again at a lower price, close to our own costs.

This reduced price is also available for both single or multiple copies, for individuals, organizations and bookstores, so if you have friends or are connected with an organization having an interest in Wilhelm Reich and orgonomy, and in my work, now is the time to purchase. It is also an excellent gift for students, young and old, and for friends

Once Again….

Clear evidence of cell-phone RF radiation cancer risk

Clear evidence of cell-phone RF radiation cancer risk

From Joel M. Moskowitz, Ph.D., Director
Center for Family and Community Health
School of Public Health
University of California, Berkeley

https://www.saferemr.com
Electromagnetic Radiation Safety, August 28, 2018

In a new paper, “Clear evidence of cell-phone RF radiation cancer risk” published in the journal IEEE Microwave Magazine, Dr. James C. Lin states that the results of the National Toxicology Program (NTP) cell phone radiation study suggest that current radio frequency (RF) exposure guidelines are inadequate to protect human health (1). Furthermore, the paper recommends that the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) re-assess the research and consider upgrading the classification of RF radiation from "possibly carcinogenic to humans" (Group 2B) to probably carcinogenic (i.e., Group 2A).

Although Dr. Lin raises some criticisms of the NTP study in this and an earlier paper (1, 2), he recognizes the importance of this research to the field and the implications of the study findings for public health (2).

He praised the FDA and the NTP for the initiation and conduct of the study and emphasized the need for the “U.S. government to step in and conduct such research programs and not leave the matter entirely to the cell-phone industry” due to his concern that “The wireless industry has had nearly free reign to develop and distribute cellular mobile phones and related RF devices as they see fit.”

Dr. Lin was one of fourteen experts convened by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences to review the National Toxicology Program’s cell phone radiation study in March of this year. He is a professor of electrical engineering, bioengineering, physiology, and biophysics at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His https://www.ece.uic.edu/~lin/publications.pdf publications include ten books, hundreds of papers and book chapters, and he has made hundreds of presentations at professional conferences. He has served on the editorial board of fifteen professional journals and has received numerous https://www.ece.uic.edu/~lin/ awards and honors throughout his distinguished career.

With a Post-Screening Panel Discussion featuring: James Strick, Professor and Chair, Program in Science, Technology and Society, Franklin and Marshall College, and author of Wilhelm Reich, Biologist (Harvard University Press, 2015); Joseph Heckman, Professor of Soil Science, Rutgers University; and Tom DiFerdinando, an orgonomic researcher, and Independent Pain, Injury, Stress and Trauma Therapist.

From Kevin Hinchey, writer and co-director of:

Love, Work and Knowledge – The Life and Trials of Wilhelm Reich
http://www.loveworkknowledge.com

West Coast residents with an interest in this new documentary, will want to know that we just confirmed the film’s first California screening: this will take place at the Del Mar Theater in Santa Cruz on September 4th and 5th, at 6:00 p.m.

Four weeks from today, the California premiere of "LOVE, WORK AND KNOWLEDGE – THE LIFE AND TRIALS OF WILHELM REICH" will take place at the historic Del Mar Theater in Santa Cruz (September 4th & 5th at 6:00 p.m.).

The Del Mar is a restored and renowned cinema that is now part of the Landmark Theater chain which currently operates 52 theaters, with a total of 252 screens, in 27 markets. A good turn-out for these screenings in Santa Cruz could pave the way for future screenings of this film at other Landmark theaters in other towns and cities.

Which means that more people will have an opportunity to see this film the way it was meant to be seen: ON THE BIG SCREEN where all of its visual, audio and musical components can be fully experienced and appreciated.

So come to the Del Mar in Santa Cruz if you can, on September 4th or 5th! And if you can’t be there, please help us spread the word to family, friends and organizations on the West Coast.

More details will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.

I realize that Santa Cruz isn’t a convenient venue for all of you, but hopefully some of you will be able to attend. And I hope that you’ll please spread the word to anyone you think would be interested in seeing this film. Thank you.

Warm regards,
Kevin Hinchey

Special sale on Saharasia continues through March

Yesterday Putin basically threatened the Western democracies with a new class of nuclear missiles. China wages open economic warfare since decades, getting fully happy cooperation from American politicians and corporations. Threatening neighbors, supporting the nuclear ambitions of North Korea, now grabbing new territory by invasion, reverting to Maoism. New "Pearl Harbors" are possible, as are new "Hitler-Stalin Pacts", which already exists in the global Left-Islamic Alliance. The old Cold Warriors were correct, the world is not a safe or gentle place. Freedom and Liberty are take a beating world-wide.

Human child-treatment and sexuality determine Character Structure, which is a better predictor of behavior than ideology, though the latter flows from the former. The old patterns of global geography also remain in play, determining invasion routes and patterns of chronic repeating totalitarianism versus relative freedom. Santayana’s dictum still holds: "Those who forget the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them."

Saharasia also still holds:
Saharasia: Origins of War, Social Violence, Sex-Repression, Child Abuse

I’m keeping the special sale on Saharasia through March, $12.95 plus shipping, worldwide.
